I co-wrote, produced and had a role in a short film called  DESCRY.   It was inspired by Amiri Baraka's one-act play Dutchman.  Our IndieGoGo campaign , created to gain funds to produce DESCRY, surpassed it's goal.  We are blown away by all the support.  THANK YOU to the 93 generous donors and to those who shared the word about our project.  We filmed and wrapped post production in 2015.  We were selected to screen at Hollyshorts Film Festival in Hollywood, CA where we won the "Diversity in Film" Award.  We also were given a theatrical run and were qualified and considered for the 2017 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.  You can purchase DESCRY on iTunesAmazon, and GooglePlay! You can also watch DESCRY on DirecTV on the ShortsTVHD Channel where it was chosen as Movie Of The Week and is now showing in regular rotation (check local listings).  The DESCRY team thanks you so much for watching and for all of the support!

Nineteen Ninety Three Short Film

In the short film Nineteen Ninety Three, I had the honor of  playing Windy Sue Woolley, a real young mother  who was brutally murdered in San Diego in 1993.  Her killer was never found.  Her daughter, Nicole Serrato, wrote/directed/produced and starred in this moving short film about how she has dealt with pain of losing her mother so suddenly at 9 years old.  Directed by Jasmin Marsters.   I am so proud to be a part of a female driven story that was written , produced and directed by females!
